How much does American eWallet® account cost?
American eWallet® has no signup fee, no monthly service fee, no minimum balance requirement, and no overdraft fees.

Why do I need a phone number to create an account?
In order to use the American eWallet you will need to verify your mobile phone number. Phone number is how we identify each user. This requirement is a common security practice meant to help protect your sensitive information. You will need a U.S. based mobile phone number to receive a verification code.

Why is an SSN required?
The SSN is used to verify that the person registering on the platform is accurately identified. This helps prevent fraud and is a crucial step in ensuring secure and legitimate activity on the platform.

Can I create an American eWallet account outside of the US?
American eWallet is currently only supported within the U.S. with U.S. currency. American eWallet App is not available for download outside the US.

How can I delete my American eWallet account?
1. Open the American eWallet app on your mobile device
2. From the Home screen tap on Profile
3. Tap on "Close American eWalet Account" from the Settings
Your wallet balance must be zero for permantely colsing your American eWallet account. You can still login and access your account statements for 30 days from the day of the request, after 30 days your account will be permanently closed. -
How can I view my transaction history?
To view your transaction history:
1. Open the American eWallet app on your mobile device.
2. Select the Activity icon at the bottom of the app.
This will show you your transaction history by date.
